Many homes these days have an ADSL internet service, and that’s a simple computer network. One or two Mobotix cameras can be easily connected to that network to record within the cameras’ SD card any events as they occur; to email you a photo of an event even if you’re far way; and you can access the cameras remotely while away to monitor what’s happening. You can do that via a web browser or a smart phone.

Depending on the external layout of a home, one Mobotix camera is able to monitor as much as two sides of a house, recording within the camera events based on movements detected. As much as a weeks’ worth of events can be recorded on the internal micro SD card, usually avoiding the need for ‘external’ storage on a computer or NAS (Network Attached Storage).
